Hello and welcome to my blog.

I am retired, having worked in the financial industry for most of my career. more than ten years ago, my husband and I moved away from the city to a lovely property in rural Ontario.

Now I spend my days getting used to my new normal. I enjoy not rushing to work, not shopping when everyone else is, not watching the clock with the same sense of urgency.

Instead, I spend my days enjoying my life at a slower pace. I am grateful for all that we have.

I love to cook, and I enjoy going to all the local farm stands and markets. I have embraced seasonal cooking with new enthusiasm.

I am an avid amateur photographer. Several years ago, I started the following a photo-a-day project. I still take photos daily. It gives me great pleasure, as well as gives me a destination for my daily walks.

I am a quilter. In the past, I have managed to amass quite a stash of fabrics and projects. Now I enjoy working on these projects. My creativity is blooming.

I am a knitter. I like to keep my hands busy, so I usually have a small knitting project on the go as well. When I’m not knitting, you can find a crochet hook in my hands.
