Smile on Saturday – March 2024

What is Smile On Saturday? It is a group on Flickr*, similar to FlickrFriday, but this one is more about fun. You post an image to go with the prompt on Saturday and add it to the group.

The rules are simple:

  • NEW UPLOADS ONLY: This means images added to Flickr after the announcement of the theme. (it doesn’t matter when you took the photo)
  • Please read the entire text for the prompt and follow the theme rules.
  • OPENING HOURS: This group will be open from Friday 10pm/22.00 to Saturday 10pm/22.00 (Central European Time).
  • Click here for the right time:  CET. Pictures taken after the theme was announced.
  • You have one week to take your pictures.
  • Add the proper tags to your pictures.

Here are my photos:

March 2 – rings (for your finger/jewellery)

ring| riNG | noun1 a small circular band, typically of precious metal and often set with one or more gemstones, worn on a finger as an ornament or a token of marriage, engagement, or authority: a diamond ring | he had a silver ring on one finger | a bishop’s ring.

Dictionary.com

The ring tree on my dresser with an assortment of rings, wedding rings, birthstone ring, a family ring and my mother’s favourite (the one with blue stones).

March 9 – funny art

I love this fantastic sculpture by Canadian artist, Charles Pachter. This piece is called “Moose Plunge,” and you can read more about it here.

March 16 – blurred & beautiful

It is snowing outside…so I took a trip to see Hydrangeas at the local greenhouse, blurred but still beautiful.

March 23 – clothes pegs

My clothes pegs are waiting for warmer weather!

March 30 – EGGS-pressive

Which came first? The chicken or the egg?
